Take It Easy

After one-and-a-half years I have decided to dust off The Date Manifesto and start blogging again. It has also been about two years since I have dated so I guess it is time that I dust if off and ease back into the game there as well too.

I am reminded of the lyrics from the song Take It Easy by the Eagles:

Well I'm a-runnin' down the road, tryin' to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine

I have been out a couple of times but this time I am going to follow the advice of the song and take it easy. The last time this happened, I ended up in a relationship and I had no clue as to how I got there. I have rekindled some old friendships which is a good thing (I think) although I do get to hear about what a heel I was three or four years ago. I have not yet convinced myself that I can deny that accusation. Although this is the same woman that told me that I was the standard in which she measure all of the men she went out with after we stopped dating because of my intelligence, my sense of humor, and the way I conducted myself. That made me feel good about myself.
